Vegas Strong Bench

The Vegas Strong Bench was created for Peccole Ranch, a community in Las Vegas that was affected by the shooting. It was placed in a special memorial park to honor the victims, first responders, medical staff, and all others who showed acts of bravery in the midst of catastrophe. Designing this bench was a humbling experience and hope that it can be a place of healing and repose.

Las Vegas Bench Design

Our team spent a long time on the design concept for the Vegas Strong Bench. We even posted the design ideas on Facebook and let hundreds of others vote on their favorite, as well as send suggestions. This helped the bench become what it is today.

  • Las Vegas Skyline: It was important to add the iconic Vegas skyline across the back of the bench. This shows that even in time of tragedy, Las Vegas shines bright and strong. The skyline featured some of the most iconic landmarks of Las Vegas Trip including: New York New York, Luxor, Stratosphere, The High Roller, and more.
  • American Flag: The American Flag signifies how the country rallied around Las Vegas in the wake of the horrible event. There were also victims of the shooting that lived all over the United States; showing that this wasn’t just an attack on Vegas, but the entire country.

Peccole Ranch Memorial

The Peccole Ranch Memorial was dedicated on November 4, 2017. The event was attended by community members, as well as Nevada Lt. Gov. Mark Hutchison, police department officials, and other local officials. 100 American Flags lined the street leading up to the memorial. Between the flags were stories of heroism from October 1, 2016. You can read the full press release here.

Fifty-Eight Stars

Fifty-eight stars line the corridor leading up to the memorial bench. These laser cut metal stars have been carefully placed to represent each victim of the shooting and that they will always be remembered, even with passing time.

Planted Trees

Seven trees were planted along the memorial bench path. Six of those trees represent the lives that were lost from the Peccolo Ranch District. The seventh tree commemorates the other victims that lived outside of Las Vegas and Nevada.

The Heart

The phrase ‘Vegas Strong’ is seen along the back of the bench. The ‘o’ was replaced with a cut out heart. The heart was kept and replicated to make a total of six hearts. Each heart was given to the families of the local victims.

The Ceremony

During the dedicatory ceremony words were spoken, songs were sung, and tears were shed. The song “Be Still, My Soul” was sung as a touching tribute to honor the victims, their families, and the entire Vegas community.

Memorial Bench Features:

Weatherproof Finish

Powder coating provides a durable finish on the metal bench. The finish prevents chips, flakes, and scratches from penetrating the bench surface. This keeps the bench from rust and corrosion that could ruin the integrity of the metal.

Custom Logos and Designs

To keep brand identity, our designers are capable of turning your logo into a laser cut file. This is then laser cut into the bench back.

Different Size Options

The park benches are available in three size options: 4′, 6′, and 8′.

Custom Site Furniture Design Process:

Laser Cut Proof

Before the manufacturing process begins, we first send you a laser cut proof. This is a realistic mockup of how the finished park bench will look. You will have a chance to approve the design before it is sent to laser cutting.

Manufacturing Process

The bench is cut from a single sheet of metal that is then bent into shape. This allows for fewer welds; yielding a stronger bench. The metal bench is then sent powder coated for a smooth,
durable finish.

Finished Product

Once the bench has gone through our powder coating process it is packaged up and sent to you. The custom site furniture is then ready to be installed in your local park, school campus, business front, or garden area.
