Memorial Bench Design Process
- Signature: Craig’s own handwriting was used for the signature in the middle of the baseball.
- Slats: Use of baseball slats to further implement how important the game was to Craig and his family.
Design Explanation:
The bench focal point is the baseball, which makes the game possible. It’s what everyone watches. Craig’s signature is front and center, illustrating that he is what made the game achievable, for his friends and community, and his contribution is recognized.
“It’s the one who makes it home safely that counts.” This provides a thought provoking message that is specific to the game of baseball. Readers will know that this bench is in tribute to a man that made it safely ‘home’. His purpose fulfilled, he stands on the sideline cheering his friends and family.
The final statement ‘for those who remember’ will give a sense of pride and ownership to those who knew Craig and a sense of admiration for those who did not.
For the Love of the Game
Considering how much Craig loved baseball, our design team took that into account while designing the bench. This bench body was taken from our Classic Bench design. However, our team shaped the slats to resemble baseball bats. We kept the slat cutouts and had them powder coated to give to friends and family. Along with the bats, we also laser cut extra baseballs with his signature on them, as a lasting token.

Durable Design
The bench is cut from a single sheet of metal. Once it has been laser cut, it is then bent into shape. This allows for fewer welds; yielding a stronger bench.
Powder Coating Colors
We offer a variety of powder coating color options to match the surrounding setting. This bench color is Copper Canyon.
